Bhavna Sharma, a dynamic professional with over 22 years of rich experience, currently holds the position of Associate Dean at the School of Fashion & Design at GKFTII, having joined the institute in 2022. An illustrious academic background supports her commendable professional journey; she is a proud graduate of Delhi University. Further strengthening her academic credentials, Bhavna pursued a Masters in Foreign Trade from the renowned Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi (IIFT). She also completed an advanced course from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) with a focus on style reading & pattern making. Additionally, Bhavna has also completed her Masters in English Literature, further enriching her academic excellence.

Throughout her academic tenure, Ms. Sharma associated herself with premier institutions such as WLCI College, B. D. Somani Institute of Art & Fashion Technology, International Institute of Fashion Technology, and IMS Dia, leaving her mark as an educator par excellence.

Beyond the walls of academia, Bhavna garnered substantial industry experience, collaborating with top-tier Export Houses and High Fashion Retail Chains. This vast exposure culminated in her entrepreneurial venture when she launched her own fashion brand, “De Beau,” in 2016.

Her excellence in design has not only been limited to her brand but has also been showcased internationally. Bhavna has presented her distinguished design collections at global platforms, including the 50th & 51st India International Garment Fair and the 13th Annual International Hospitality & Travel Awards. To further scale her brand, she strategically partnered with SS Exports, a reputable manufacturer, cementing the growth trajectory for “De Beau.”

With her blend of industry and academic expertise, Ms. Sharma serves as a beacon of inspiration and guidance for the aspiring designers and students at GKFTII's School of Fashion & Design.
